Perpetual State

His prison is his perpetual state of lust
In which in any event he must
Tug pull and thrust
To achieve any form of relief
Of pleasure hope or belief
That to this desire there is an end
Not this perpetual loop to which he must attend
Were he to find a partner in crime
One with a similar tune to chime
If they could share in his perpetual need
Then maybe in him satisfaction would seed
Bringing forth the dawn of a new era
Longing for it full of hope and yet terror
For if that is not truly the adrenaline of life
Wouldn’t he not just stumble into hopelessness and strife
