Treacherous Youth

Things begin to crumble and fall,

Piece by piece yet through it all,

I’m at a place where I’ve began to stall,

Like a helpless child lost at the mall,

Afraid and aware that nobody’s there,

Embracing the silence,

The destitution, the violence,

That sets up the scene,

Why are the masses ever so mean?

Their own slate yet to be clean,

Must you cast the first stone,

Must you find yourself alone,

Before you realise the truth,

You lived a treacherous youth.
